I build Western Red Cedar outdoor furniture in British Columbia, and I supply it to retailers across Europe and the UK.

What I make

Flat-pack Adirondack chair kits, footrests and side tables. Everything is pre-drilled and goes together in about ninety minutes with screws and bolts; no glue, no clamps, nothing your customer needs a workshop for.

The chairs ship unfinished, so they can be left to weather to a silver grey, oiled, or painted. That's a decision I'd rather leave to whoever ends up sitting in it.

Why the wood is worth talking about

Most cedar furniture is built from lumber bought off a rack. Mine isn't.

I buy old-growth Western Red Cedar logs and mill them myself. Each log is quarter-sawn so every board shows vertical grain, then kiln dried and graded in my own shop before a single part gets cut. Only clear, knot-free boards make it into a chair.

Vertical grain is what most sawmills won't take the time to produce. It's slower to cut and yields less per log, but it's what keeps a board flat and holding its shape through wet and dry seasons.

Log to lumber to chair, all in one place. It's the reason these chairs look and last the way they do and it gives your customers something to be told, rather than just a price tag.

Everything here is built by hand, by me, which means I'm careful about who I take on and attentive to the shops I work with.

I'm in Canada and ship internationally. Lead times get agreed in advance, and I build to them.
