Cedar Blanket Chest

This Cedar Chest measures 36 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 21 inches tall; all outside dimensions  Made using our knot free Western Red Cedar and utilizing hidden fasteners throughout, the top is attached with two included hinges.  Perfect for storing blankets, pillows, towels, books, knickknacks or anything you want to keep out of view and add an elegant and organized touch to your room.  

To help make the shipping cost as low as possible for something this size the cedar chest arrives as a kit for you to assemble in 40 pre-cut and sanded pieces, while the lid and bottom panel have been glued together by us to help make assembly easier and end up with a more robust storage chest.  Assembly of this chest does require a level of skill and I am working on an assembly video that I would recommend you watch before ordering so it is clear what you are ordering.  Only one side of the panels will be pre-drilled and countersunk, so it will be up to you to line the panels up properly while screwing them together.  It is much different than an Ikea piece of furniture where both pieces are pre-drilled and you only need to line the screw up into the hole on the second piece and tighten.  All screws, lid hinges and a color instruction sheet are included and assembly takes about an hour and a half.

We don't round over any corners on this chest as we felt it ruined the esthetic and sharpness of the lines.  The chest will arrive unstained as in the photos as we felt that most owners won't be staining it, so to keep the wonderful cedar aroma filling their space year round.  As with all of our products, every chest will be different in terms of wood grain, color, streaks and character.
