This end-grain butcher block cutting board is made from Eastern Maple and Black Walnut, with a bordered design that frames the lighter maple centre with contrasting walnut. It is finished with food-safe mineral oil and beeswax, with rubber feet and recessed handholds underneath for lifting and carrying.
The board is made from Eastern Maple and Black Walnut arranged in an end-grain construction. The lighter maple centre is framed with contrasting Black Walnut, with a thin walnut inset line adding another detail around the border.
The pieces are bonded with waterproof, food-safe glue and the finished board is sanded smooth before oiling. Rubber feet keep the board slightly raised from the counter, and recessed handholds underneath make it easier to lift and move.

Finish and Care
The board is finished with food-safe mineral oil and beeswax. To maintain the wood, reapply a suitable cutting-board oil or conditioner as needed and avoid soaking the board in water or putting it in a dishwasher.
Availability
This cutting board is not currently in production. I am keeping the design available on the website in case I return to making cutting boards in the future.
