International Shipping

I ship Tofino Woodshop products throughout Canada and to customers in the United States, Europe and other international destinations. Most products are supplied as unassembled kits, which allows me to package them securely and ship them through the postal system without the size and cost of sending fully assembled furniture.

This page explains how international orders are packed and shipped, what to expect with tracking and delivery, and how duties, taxes and other import charges are handled.

Packaging and Kit Shipping

Most products are shipped as unassembled kits, with the wooden parts, hardware and instructions packed together for assembly after delivery. Shipping this way keeps the parcel smaller than a fully assembled piece and reduces the risk of damage during transit.

Depending on the product, packaging may include double-walled cardboard boxes, kraft paper and cedar shavings or other wood packing material used to protect the parts in transit.

Tracking and Delivery

Orders ship within three business days, and tracking information is provided once the parcel has been sent. You can use the tracking link to follow the shipment directly with the carrier.

Delivery times vary by destination and can also be affected by customs processing after the parcel enters the destination country.

Duties, Taxes and Import Charges

For U.S. orders, when the carrier requires a tariff to be prepaid, that amount is included in the shipping charge shown at checkout. This helps avoid an additional tariff charge when the parcel is delivered.

For all other international orders, VAT, customs duties, import taxes or other destination-country charges are not included in the shipping price and are the responsibility of the customer when the parcel arrives or when requested by the carrier or customs authority.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated for the destination and shown at checkout before you place your order. Because the products are shipped as kits, the cost is based on the packaged size and weight rather than the dimensions of a fully assembled piece.
