This set includes my Adirondack chair and a matching cedar side table, providing a complete seating arrangement with a useful surface close at hand.Both pieces are made from clear, knot-free old-growth Western Red Cedar that I mill quarter-sawn in-house. They ship unstained in one box as unassembled kits with full-colour instructions and all required hardware.

A Side Table Made for the Chair

The table is proportioned specifically for use beside the Adirondack chair. At 19 inches high, its top sits slightly below the seven-inch-wide chair arm, making it easy to reach without interfering with the chair.

The tabletop measures 14 by 23 inches, providing room for drinks, books or serving plates. Because the table remains separate, it can be placed on either side of the chair or moved wherever it is most useful.

Materials and Construction

  • Made entirely from clear, knot-free old-growth Western Red Cedar
  • All lumber is milled quarter-sawn in-house
  • Full one-inch rough-sawn boards are planed and sanded to their finished thickness
  • Tabletop edges are rounded for a smooth finished profile
  • 305 and 316 stainless-steel fasteners are used throughout
  • Both pieces are shaped, sanded and prepared by me in small batches

Western Red Cedar naturally varies in colour. I select lighter and darker boards so the chair and table show the natural contrast and character of the wood while still looking like a matched set.

Finish and Care

The chair and table shown in the product photographs have been stained with SICO ProLuxe 1 Primary Coat RE in the Natural tint. This finish brings out the colour and grain of the cedar without covering it.

The set arrives unstained so you can apply the exterior finish you prefer. I recommend finishing both pieces before assembly to help protect the cedar and slow the natural weathering process.

Assembly

The chair kit contains 34 cedar parts, while the side-table kit contains 16. Parts are predrilled where applicable, countersunk where needed and finish-sanded before packing.

The package includes:

  • Full-colour instructions for both pieces
  • Stainless-steel screws and carriage bolts
  • A chair seat-slat spacing tool
  • A driver bit

You will need:

  • An electric drill
  • A tape measure
  • An 11 mm or 7/16-inch wrench

Chair assembly generally takes between 1½ and 2 hours. The side table normally takes approximately 40 minutes.

Shipping

The chair and side table ship together in one box, normally within three business days. The shipping rate for your destination appears after you enter your address in the cart or during checkout.

The packaging is plastic-free. I use small satchels of cedar chips as packing material, with recyclable cardboard and paper for the remaining packaging.

I ship through the postal system, so please provide an address where your local postal carrier can deliver the parcel safely.

U.S. orders: When the carrier requires a tariff to be prepaid, I include that amount in the shipping charge shown at checkout. This helps avoid an additional tariff charge when the parcel is delivered.

International customers may be responsible for duties, taxes, VAT or other import charges assessed by their country.
